We are seeking for a Full-Time Inventory Specialist. This position works under general supervision and typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Enhances product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory.
- Creates and reviews procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- Works under general supervision.
- Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
- Perform all work in a safe manner in accordance with all company safety and health policies.
- Compliance with PPE use requirements is required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for performing daily office deliveries such as filing, recording, maintaining records, copying, posting, and other similar duties, using a computer terminal, and other word processors.
- Follows organization and department procedures to complete deliveries in a timely manner.
- Interact with customers in providing information to organizations concerning products, services, and process documentation.
- Performs a variety of administrative and customer service tasks.
- Must be computer savvy – can utilize systems effectively; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. (will be tested)
- The following are the primary duties and responsibilities of this role. Other related duties may be assigned to meet the business need.
- Perform inventory cycle counts in accordance with processes and procedures for approved inventory and materials.
- Manage the receipt of inventory including receiving product and inputting inventory data into the SAP system.
- Manage and organize all inventory related documentation.
- Communicate with other departments including Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Quality and ExecutiveCommittee regarding inventory fulfillment needs and updates.
- Participate in continuous quality and performance improvement activities.
- Manage inventory activity in SAP.
Required Education and Experience:
- Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with at least 1 year of work experience, preferably in light industrial warehouse areas/field.
- Candidates with CPPS, exposure to Disposal, government excess property and/or government property management are encouraged to apply (preferred but not required).
- NASA experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous work experience in an inventory fulfillment position desired.
- Previous inventory management and/or SAP experience.
- Ability to operate a computer and familiar with MS Office (Outlook, Excel).
- Must have basic mathematical skills.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and basic computer skills.
