In this position, you are a Data Warehouse Specialist with demonstrated success in supporting the federal government. The Data Warehouse Specialist designs, implements, and maintains data warehouses, ensuring data is stored efficiently, accurately, and accessible for analysis, including ETL processes and data quality.
Must Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5-8 years’ relevant experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Design, implement, and facilitate data warehousing solutions to support business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis needs.
- Ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and system performance.
- Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources.
- Configure and maintain data warehouses to ensure reliability, scalability, and system performance.
- Perform data modeling to create logical and physical data structures that result in the best database design.
- Monitor data warehouse performance, resolving issues to maintain availability and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with business analysts and IT teams to align technical specifications with data requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, diagrams, and process flows.
- Optimize queries and ETL processes, enhancing data processing speed and reducing load times.
- Validate data accuracy and consistency and address redundancies and errors.
- Develop and maintain data marts to serve specific business functions.
- Implement security measures, such as access controls and encryption, to protect sensitive data.
