The Director of Information Technology has overall responsibility for the leadership and coordination of the information technology (IT) services of the organization and has primary responsibility for short and long-range planning of the technical infrastructure to ensure that it supports current and future business requirements. This role is tasked managing and coaching IT personnel in the areas of business applications, hardware, infrastructure, and development. This role will assist in ensuring the protection of sensitive client information through monitoring, maintaining, and administering critical systems. This is primarily a non-remote position that operates in a professional office environment. You will also identify, coordinate, and install new systems and delivery channels to provide unmatched service to clients and internal customers
• Lead the IT team in the pursuit of enhancing end-user experience and improving operational efficiency.
• Make routine employment decisions, review performance, and make salary recommendations.
• Assign work, provide training, and guidance, and advise team members as necessary.
• Assist team members in the creation of career development plans.
• Manage the budget and negotiate contracts to maximize ROI.
• Oversee the administration, maintenance, and upgrade of the VMware virtual server environment, phone system, and various other enterprise applications.
• Supervise the Jira IT helpdesk, ensure high quality service to end users.
• Manage the development team, prioritize development requests, and perform code reviews.
• Identify technology solutions to meet credit union needs.
• Manage and assist IT team members to ensure all scheduled backups of all information systems are performed according to the IT security policy and initiate one disaster test at a designated back up site, annually.
• Manage and assist all database administrators in the administration, maintenance, and installation of all databases.
• Supervise team members to maintain all data communication equipment to ensure an online status for employees and service to our members.
• Develop policies and procedures to ensure adherence to best practices.
• Maintain firewall and WAN/LAN.
• Develop network security policies and procedures to protect against unauthorized network access.
• Participate in audits and oversee remediation of issues found.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10 years of experience in computer operations management.
• 5 years of experience working in a regulated environment and responding to inquiries and findings of regulators and auditors.
• Demonstrated ability for attention to detail and superior time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects.
