Machine
- Troubleshoot and lend technical support for automated warehouse distribution/manufacturing processes and equipment, supporting all facilities.
- Conduct necessary technology research and provide recommendations.
- Manages reports and records as well as explain the actions and procedures carried out with the suggested solutions.
- Ability to read and understand manufacturer’s instructions, engineering specifications, sketches, operation manuals, and diagrams, to diagnose and troubleshoot abnormalities.
- Examine or carry out tasks on broken machine parts and identify defective parts or give recommendations to supervisors on repair requirements
- Excellent general understanding of machine and robot automation with display of mastery in troubleshooting by utilizing deductive reasoning and schematics.
- Completes preventive maintenance prerequisites on mechanical equipment like motors, conveyors, production machines, pneumatic tools and engines thereby ensuring smooth operation of such machinery and mechanical gadgets.
- Perform troubleshooting tasks and repair works on complex industrial machines.
- Ensure cleanliness of machine and machine components by making use of a broom, air guns, solvents, cloths, vacuum or other appliances
- Disassemble machines and take off parts for replacement or repair by using cranes, hoists, chain falls, hand tools and jacks
- Replace, fix, or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications
- Application of lubricants or other materials to machines or their parts as well as other equipment in accordance with stated procedures
- Eagerness and ability to comprehend general maintenance in all aspects of maintenance program
- Perform daily Preventative Maintenance on equipment.
- Must exhibit outstanding ability to learn and comprehend the fundamentals of the functioning of machines
- Excellent general understanding of Electrical and Pneumatic systems with display of mastery in troubleshooting by utilizing deductive reasoning and schematics.
- Carries out scheduled maintenance examinations and fixes, cleans and align diverse systems to guarantee appropriate system operations

- Leads and completes HVAC filter changes, belt replacements, and coil cleanings.
- Performs installation, maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Ensures all temps and set points on the building management system are within range, reporting any found alarms or issues to the Facilities Supervisor or Manager.
- Maintains all associated EPA requirements including accurate Freon logs.
- Reviews new design and concepts of HVAC systems as needed.
- Programs building management system as needed.
- Charges, starts, and checks for proper operation of HVAC equipment and related devices.
- Modify and/or install natural gas, compressed air, and water piping systems as needed.
- Weld, braze and/or repair piping associated with HVAC installations or modifications.
- Sound knowledge of National Electrical Code and Electrical Safety Practices.
- Interpret electrical circuit diagrams and blueprints.
- Use and maintain hand and power tools normally used in the electrical and electronics equipment repair, such as Ohmmeters, Ammeters, Meggers, and others.
- Installs conduit, conductors, junction boxes, disconnects, switches, and lighting systems as needed.
- Test safety equipment such as exit and emergency lighting as needed.
- Replaces ballast and bulbs as needed.
- Conducts electrical preventative maintenance as needed including inspections, testing, cleaning and lubricating equipment and systems.
- Repairs/Replaces motors, starters, pumps, rollers, belts, photo eyes, and any other part associated with material handling equipment as needed.
- Repairs or replaces faucets, valves, toilets, fixtures, and other associated plumbing systems as needed.
- Cuts and threads piping as needed.
- Repairs specialty plumbing items such as emergency eyewash stations as needed.
- Winterizes piping systems as needed.
- Repair broken windows, doors, walls, and ceiling tiles as needed.
- Repair and install door locks and closures as needed.
- Install towel racks and dispensers as needed.
- Repair and install racking systems as needed.
- Repair or replace door handles and locking systems as needed.
- Must comply with all OSHA, DHEC, and other safety related policies associated with facilities operations.
- Must be proactive and adhere to all safety standards.
- Fills in for Facilities Supervisor as needed.
- Coordinates/Organizes/Performs a quarterly inventory on all MEH parts in parts cage.
- Assist Facilities Supervisor in scheduling day to day and PM related work as needed.
- Monitors the work of other employees, reporting any issues to the Facilities Supervisor.
- Mentors other team members to develop redundancy in specialized skill sets.
- Works overtime as needed with facilities team to maintain critical facility equipment by leading/performing specific scheduled PM work.
- Tests and maintains emergency electrical equipment such as generators and battery operated lighting as needed.
- Assist with energy audits as needed.
- Assist other maintenance staff as needed.
- Able to interpret building plans, blueprints, and schematics.
- Maintains control of tools and clean shop area.
- Performs other preventative maintenance on building, devices, and other systems.
- Performs other duties as assigned general or complex in nature.
- 3 years of experience with facilities/robotic machine tending in a manufacturing environment.
- 4-5 years Machine Maintenance experience with advanced electrical knowledge.
- 2-3 years of experience setting up, installing and troubleshooting electrical controls, process, logic controls, and robotic systems.
- Supervisory skills to lead technician/maintenance people.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and technical skills.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, including staff, vendors and management.
- Ability to prioritize and interpret work requests and work orders.
- Intermediate computer skills required (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test
- Associates Degree in mechatronics and/or industrial maintenance, industrial electronics or equivalent experience
- Advanced training from robotics suppliers is preferred.
- Familiarity with HMI Software
- Understanding of Ethernet, I/P and Device Net Communication protocols
