The Assistant Sales Manager with Sales Analyst expertise will be responsible for building and strengthening relationships with major eCommerce and physical retail partners, driving sales growth, and utilizing data-driven strategies to optimize profitability in the online marketplace. This role requires a combination of account management, strategic planning, and data analysis skills tailored to the unique demands of e-commerce. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales analysis, experience working with consumer goods, and a deep understanding of e-commerce platforms and operations.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Account Management : Build and maintain relationships with retail partners, serving as the primary point of contact. Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and profitability goals within online channels.
- Data Analysis : Leverage data analytics to monitor sales trends, identify growth opportunities, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Use data to forecast online sales, track performance metrics, and recommend improvements tailored to digital markets.
- E-commerce Growth Strategies : Expand the distribution of key products across e-commerce platforms through enhanced product placement, search optimization, and promotional campaigns.
- Product Management : Collaborate with the Product Team to optimize online product assortments, support digital launches, and identify opportunities within existing and emerging e-commerce categories.
- Reporting and Communication : Prepare and present weekly sales reports and trend analyses. Communicate corporate objectives clearly and effectively to internal teams and online retail partners.
- Competitor Analysis : Monitor competitive activity, including product offerings, pricing strategies, and digital promotions. Develop and recommend strategies to mitigate competitive threats in online marketplaces.
- Budget Management : Manage account budgets, including gross sales, discretionary spending, net sales, and gross margin targets. Achieve expense budget goals while optimizing digital marketing and promotional resources.
- Collaboration : Partner with Marketing, Product, and Supply Chain teams to plan, execute, and optimize e-commerce initiatives. Work with supply chain stakeholders to forecast demand, manage inventory levels for online sales, and reduce operational inefficiencies.
- Customer Experience Optimization : Collaborate with digital teams to enhance online product ratings, minimize returns, and ensure a seamless e-commerce customer experience.
