Will there be any opportunity for remote work? Likely not, the position is intended to mainly support on-site duties that require physical presence. If there are record keeping or data organization tasks that offer an opportunity to work remotely, I am not opposed to an occasional exception so that the person can focus on that level of support.

What are the exact shift hours/schedule the contractor will be working/reporting? client's Standard Business Hours, EW will work an 8 hour day*** Hours can be flexible, but should be 40 hours on-site. We have become accustomed to a staggered schedule with the person currently in this position. I prefer an early schedule, so having someone arrive between 9:30-10:30am has allowed for coverage on-site later into the evening when I have to depart.
What is the working environment for this role? The role will be localized to one building and focus mainly on laboratory environments (non-GXP) requiring PPE for BSL-2. Tasks can include physical exertion (lifting heavy boxes to organize/receive/distribute packages and equipment/furniture within lab spaces). **EW will be working in a station based-shared work environment/and lab based

The person in this position currently has been a superstar with his friendly attitude towards all of our AMD community, work ethic autonomy, willingness to grow at new tasks, and maybe most importantly I’ve appreciated the ability for him to hear a communication and retain information immediately. His attention to process driven tasks and routines has been key, but also noting that adaptation to those tasks are equally important since a lot of our operational responses are driven by urgencies that require us to pivot in order to make things work smoothly.

Customer service or restaurant experience to be able to provide interpersonal support with individuals and teams and display excellence in multitasking. Experience working directly to support laboratory equipment is essential, but having a dynamic range of experience also speaks volumes for a well-rounded individual. · What is your minimum education and years of work experience you think it suitable for this role? Bachelor’s degree with 1 years’ applicable experience working in a research laboratory setting.
Provide general laboratory operational support to the client's Maryland (Rockville, MD). This person will be responsible for helping to develop, manage, and organize daily lab support activities to ensure that our laboratories operate smoothly.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support and back up lab manager in the oversight of all aspects of efficient lab operations
- Maintain an inventory and stocks of commonly used reagents for the lab
- Coordinate instrument maintenance with vendors and lab personnel
- Support organization of cell banks and general cold storage
- Work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional lab team
Basic Qualifications
Associate degree and 2 years of experience OR 2 years in a technical school setting with hands-on experience OR High school diploma / GED and 4 years of experience
Must Have Skill Sets:
1 years working in a research laboratory setting
Proven planning and organizational skills in a complex and diverse environment
Multitasking skills
