Job Summary
- Works independently under general supervision to provide technical solutions in the management of software, hardware, configurations, and architectures,
- including network control software, routers, switches, lines, modems, adapters and servers
- Plans, installs and maintains network systems for multiple classifications
- monitors network performance and troubleshoots and resolves complex problems to maintain operating efficiency and ensure quality transmission service on the network.
- Uses subject matter expertise to diagnose and solve issues and has some authority to deviate from standard operating procedures
- Minimum BA or BS degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Requires three or more years' experience as a Network Administrator
- An additional five years of experience as a Network Administrator can be substituted for the lack of a degree
- Requires knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and support, operating systems and applications and network management.
- Must have working knowledge of current technologies and products for MTC services and security
- Must possess a SECRET clearance
