Job Title : Monitoring and Alerting Administrator
Duration : 6 Months contract
Location : Remote
Client is seeks a highly experienced Monitoring and Alerting Administrator to be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the monitoring and observability solutions for the IT infrastructure and applications of our client. The IT Monitoring and Alerting Administrator works closely with the IT operations, development, and security teams to ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of the IT services and systems.
Responsibilities :
Work with infrastructure management, production support and development teams to build monitor and alerting dashboards that are to be consumed by those teams.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 10 years of professional IT Infrastructure experience (systems administration and / or production support)
3 years of experience in building dashboards / reports that provide IT monitoring and alerting.
Strong knowledge and experience with Nagios monitoring and observability tools and platform
Strong knowledge and experience with various IT infrastructure and application technologies, such as Linux, Windows, Azure, network, database, web, etc.
Strong knowledge and experience with scripting and automation tools , such as Python, Bash, Ansible , etc.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Certifications in IT monitoring and observability tools and platforms are preferred
