Role :: Civil Engineer
Location :: San Ramon, CA (Onsite)
Must be PE Certified.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- Professional Engineering License is required
- 3-7 years of experience in the Engineering/Design of Civil/Structural systems
- Utilities or Energy Industries experience is a big plus
- Experience with the analysis and design of concrete foundations (Ipile, risa), anchorage systems, and the review of structural steel and connections, preferred
- Experience with site drainage design, grading, surface/sub-surface drainage plans, and cut and fill requirements
Work Experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide civil & structural engineering services during the proposal, design, and construction of AIS and GIS projects with strict adherence to the project contract.
- Work with project lead engineer to develop the design criteria and document deliverable list for the project.
- Provide engineering and design support in specific civil & structural engineering areas including but not limited to the following:
- Substation/Switchyard general arrangement review
- Estimate civil & structural quantities
- Grading & drainage design
- Foundation and calculation design
- Anchor bolt plan and detail design
- Steel structure calculation and design
- Building calculation and design
- Equipment specification
- Material and construction specification
- Signing and sealing the design package
- Resolve the civil & structural site issues during construction
- Perform construction and field engineering support on projects during construction stage
- Travel to client sites/field as necessary.
