What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Affairs Specialist - A position at Tecknomic?
We are looking for a Public Affairs Specialist for a potential upcoming project. This is a full-time, temporary position with Tecknomic and the project is with the Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement (ONSE). This is an onsite role . Please note, in order to apply for this position, you must be able to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination at the initial screening stage of the interview.

Job Description : Responsibilities :
A.11.2 Communications Division Support
A.11.3 The Specialist shall manage the communications editorial calendar to coordinate ONSE internal and external activities.
A.11.4 The Specialist shall utilize software and tools supporting communication efforts, including WebEx, Smartsheet, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and the office website.
A.11.5 The Specialist shall prepare and edit correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents as required. A.11.6 The Specialist shall organize and maintain official records, documents, and files in electronic and physical formats.
A.11.7 The Specialist shall handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses or redirecting as needed.
A.11.8 The Specialist shall report to ONSE designated facility Monday through Friday 9 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.
A.12 Public Relations
A.12.1 The Specialist shall capture photographs, videos, and audio for publication on online and digital media, including social platforms.
A.12.2 The Specialist shall develop and review press releases, fact sheets, features, and background statements.
A.12.3 The Specialist shall post position opportunities periodically as requested by Human Resources.
A.12.4 The Specialist shall create collateral materials, such as flyers and event programs, using Canva or similar software.
A.12.5 The Specialist shall assist in preparing speeches, press releases, and public statements, maintaining consistency with communication guidelines.
A.13 Project and Program Support
A.13.1 The Specialist shall support the Pathways Program team, including preparing the Pathways Cohort 18 printed program.
A.13.2 The Specialist shall assist in planning, coordination, and execution of ONSE projects and programs.
A.13.3 The Specialist shall conduct research, collect data, and prepare reports to aid decision- making.
A.13.4 The Specialist shall collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather information, promote communication, and foster collaboration.
A.14 Confidentiality and Ethics
A.14.1 The Specialist shall handle confidential information with discretion, maintaining a high level of professionalism. A.14.2 The Specialist shall adhere to ethical guidelines, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies.
A.14.3 The Specialist shall represent the Communications Director’s interests, maintaining alignment with the office's mission and vision.
