The Opportunity
Our client, a public sector agency in the state of Florida, is in search of a Cloud Systems Architect to play a key role in their Information Technology division. The Architect will lead the design, modernization, and management of cloud services and IT infrastructure. This position requires a professional with extensive experience in Microsoft Azure and multi-cloud environments, robust technical acumen, and the ability to guide enterprise-wide technology initiatives. The successful candidate will drive improvements in infrastructure performance, enhance application monitoring, and implement automation strategies to support our client's critical business operations.
Job duties include:
This opportunity is for a full-time position with pay commensurate with experience up to $150,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Job duties include:
- Architect, upgrade, and maintain virtual desktop infrastructures and cloud services (primarily Microsoft Azure) to support FDOT’s enterprise applications, data, and IT operations
- Oversee and manage Microsoft 365 environments, Microsoft Power Platform, and identity platforms, ensuring optimal performance and security
- Lead initiatives in infrastructure administration, application development, middleware support, and IT service automation to meet enterprise objectives
- Create and manage Azure DevOps projects, implement CI/CD pipelines, and automate processes to reduce manual tasks and improve system uptime
- Build and maintain relationships across a matrixed environment, providing technical direction, strategic recommendations, and risk-based design insights
- Proactively diagnose system issues, implement performance refactoring, and enhance monitoring solutions to ensure high availability and efficiency

Qualifications You Need
A successful candidate has the following experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent experience)
- A minimum of five (5) years in information systems engineering or related IT fields
- A minimum of two (2) years as a Microsoft Azure cloud systems architect
- A minimum of two (2) years in Enterprise Architecture and middleware support
- Experience with additional cloud platforms (AWS or GCP preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure Services, Microsoft Server products, and the Microsoft Power Platform
- Proficiency in Linux administration (Redhat and Ubuntu)
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and team-building abilities
- Experience with IT infrastructure design, automation scripting, and strategic planning
