The project
TECKpert seeks to hire an .NET Application Developer to support our client, a government agency based in Tallahassee, FL. In this role you will be responsible for full lifecycle application development—ranging from system design and coding to testing and deployment—while ensuring solutions meet robust enterprise standards. This role is critical for modernizing legacy systems to service-oriented architectures and integrating cloud-based platforms, all within an Agile environment.

This opportunity is for a full-time, position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $65/hour or $124,800 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.
Candidates are expected to work onsite at our client’s location.

In this role you will be responsible for full lifecycle application development—ranging from system design and coding to testing and deployment—while ensuring solutions meet robust enterprise standards. This role is critical for modernizing legacy systems to service-oriented architectures and integrating cloud-based platforms, all within an Agile environment.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as a senior developer on cross-functional projects, architecting high-volume, high-transaction web applications
- Implement end-to-end application solutions using Microsoft .NET (C#, ASP.NET/MVC, WCF/WebAPI) and related technologies
- Develop comprehensive unit tests and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the quality and reliability of the code
- Update legacy applications to service-oriented architectures and integrate cloud-based solutions (Azure, AWS) where applicable
- Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Participate in Agile practices including Scrum or SAFe methodologies to ensure continuous improvement and timely delivery
- Produce clear technical documentation and maintain effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications You Need
A successful .NET Application Developer possesses or provides the following:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of five (5) years as a lead developer
- Eight (8) years of hands-on experience with Microsoft .NET technologies, including proficiency in C#, ASP.NET/MVC, and WebAPI
- Proven experience with SQL Server and other relational database management systems
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (Angular, Knockout, etc.) and RESTful APIs
- Experience in updating legacy systems to modern, service-oriented architectures
- Strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a distributed team
- Prior Agile or Scrum experience is highly desired
