The project
TECKpert seeks to hire aProject Management Specialistto support our client, a government agency based in Tallahassee, FL.The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in program and project management, resource management, and change management in a public sector IT environment. This role requires strong communication, organization, and independent working skills, with the ability to drive large, cross-functional projects impacting the agency’s enterprise operations.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Design, implement, evaluate, and audit project management processes and templates.
This opportunity is for a full-time position with paycommensurate with experience up to $115,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.
Candidates are expected to work onsite at our client’s location.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Design, implement, evaluate, and audit project management processes and templates.
- Compile and report metrics related to IT project success and productivity
- Educate and support project managers/leaders in implementing project management best practices
- Organize, publish, and maintain project documentation and templates
- Liaise between Application Services and other business units, gathering business objectives and documenting requirements
- Analyze, document, and improve business processes; develop performance measures and transition plans for new processes
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and agency IT policies, regulations, and procedures
- Assist with business process redesign, documentation, modernization, and migration efforts
- Facilitate and document business cases and feasibility studies; coordinate requirements gathering and prioritization
- Develop project schedules, implementation plans, and assist with UAT and quality assurance processes
- Summarize detailed data into executive-level reports and meaningful business insights
- Develop standardized desk procedures and business rules; monitor and implement knowledge transfer

Qualifications You Need
A successful candidatepossesses or provides the following:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in business process reengineering/documentation within public sector technology
- Demonstrated experience with project management tools/methods (PMBOK, Agile), quality assurance, and business systems requirements definition
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Knowledge of Florida Administrative Code Rules 60GG-1 through 5 (preferred)
- PMP, Agile, or related project management certifications (preferred)
- Experience working in government IT environments
- Familiarity with transportation technology operations
- Strong ability to collaborate, lead, and support diverse technical/business teams
