Summary:
The Inbound Coordinator is responsible for managing inbound shipments arriving from foreign countries and ensuring all documentation is properly submitted and processed in accordance with U.S. Customs and other government agencies. This role plays a key part in coordinating logistics, tracking shipment status, and maintaining compliance with internal and regulatory procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and review documentation for inbound ocean and air shipments.
- Submit Importer Security Filing (ISF 10 2) for ocean shipments in a timely manner.
- Coordinate the submission of container stuffing location and consolidator information to U.S. Customs.
- Monitor in-transit shipments through internal Excel reports and shipment tracking tools.
- Coordinate container pickups at U.S. ports/terminals by communicating with trucking companies and issuing Delivery Orders (DOs).
- Process CBP Form 7512 prior to the first U.S. port arrival, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Track the receipt of shipments at designated warehouse facilities (note: no physical warehouse work involved).
- Ensure all drivers receive the proper shipping documentation before departure.
- Monitor inbound shipments and ensure they are exported within the required timeframe.
- Accurately log the arrival and export status of inbound shipments.
Qualifications:
- Experience in customs brokerage, international logistics, or a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with U.S. Customs procedures and forms (such as ISF and 7512).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and logistics/tracking systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
