SUMMARY:
Responsible for the physical movement, storage, and control of materials and products within a warehouse or distribution center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse using various equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Keep track of inventory levels and assist in maintaining accurate records.
- Select items from storage locations based on order requirements and prepare them for shipment.
- Ensure that materials are handled and stored safely to prevent damage and report any discrepancies in inventory.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to fulfill material requirements and resolve issues.
- Perform basic maintenance on material handling equipment to ensure proper functioning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Accurate and detail-oriented to maintain precise inventory records.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate well with colleagues.
