CNC MACHINIST-PROGRAMMER
Our machinist/programmer of 46 yrs RETIRED and we need to replace him! Join our hardworking team of EXPERT machinists as we support the Mission of NASA and the US Department of Defense. TECMA is a AS9100 contract precision machine shop specializing in multi-axis CNC milling and turning for space flight vehicles and defense systems. We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist and PROGRAMMER, who is highly skilled in programming, set-up, operating, and running CNC mills and lathes. Must have a passion for precision machining and a commitment to quality! We do a lot of complex lathe work; must be proficient at the lathe.
OPERATORS NEED NOT APPLY! You must be a CNC programmer to be considered.
Full-time, day shift, 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS OVERVIEW
- CNC programming, both at the machine control and with offline software (experience with CAMWorks a plus)
- Must have 3 years precision machining in a job shop. Experience on BOTH CNC lathes and mills required. Experience setting up and operating 5 Axis and CNC Lathe with live tooling is a plus but not required
- Must be able to set-up and operate CNCs to obtain first article (FAI) acceptance without supervision to tolerances as low as .0005
- Must be able to read and understand G-code
- Experience in an aerospace manufacturing facility preferred
- Familiar with Haas controls preferred
- Must have excellent blueprint reading skills, especially GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994
- Experience using manual/conventional mills and lathes is a plus
- Inspect work in-process utilizing basic inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Familiarity and willingness to comply with AS9100 quality management system and goals of zero defects
- Maintains a clean work area, adheres to 5S Standards and safety directives
WORKING CONDITIONS & EXPECTATIONS
- Standing, stooping and/or bending for prolonged periods of time (8 or more hours per day)
- Willingness and ability to wear the required personal protective equipment during the duration of your shift
- Perform accurate and timely completion of all job order documentation
- Must be able to lift to 40 lbs. as required
- Ability to work in a moderate to loud working environment (equipment noise level)
- Commitment to adhere to and uphold rules and guidelines of an ITAR Compliant facility
- Conveys a positive, professional image and attitude and demonstrates a commitment to continued professional growth
- Able to work independently or as a team
