Job Details
- They will need an understanding of system and what data is available but that is not as important as an understanding of the business model, underlying cash flows and accounting. For example, they will need to be able to look at a business flow (for example a repo) and understand what that means to the cash position.
- They will also need to be able to analyze a balance sheet to break it down by business line.
- I would prefer a candidate with more experience on the accounting side as well. Our cash forecasting extensively uses GL information.
- The ideal candidate would have experience setting up something new (new entity, new function, new branch, etc.) where they would have worked with stakeholders across functions.
- The primary focus is operationalizing a report that captures expected settlements from one system and matching them with actual cash flows in the depo.
- Dunya has a good payment background however given we are focused on the broker dealer in the US, settlements from the depo like DTC, CDS, BoNY, etc. are much more relevant to the flows the candidate will be looking at
- The NY role requires an in depth knowledge of settlements and will be working closely with the settlements team
- Power BI and Broadridge experience would be a big plus
- The ideal candidate would have experience in building a process to reconcile and report expected and actual cash flows. The report also needs to be able to map expected to actual at a trade level.
