TITLE: Manager, Asset Management, Electric Delivery
PERFORMANCE COACH: Director Asset Management ED/ES

DEPARTMENT: ED Asset Management
1) Establish a continuous collaborative Reliability Team process for T&D systems which involves the development of Asset Registry, Asset Criticality, Monitoring Plans, Health Indicators/Policy, Asset Risk Profile and Risk Mitigation. (15%)
2) Develop solutions to establish expected T&D assets and system performance. Work closely with the Manager, Analytics to manage Transmission and Distribution data and computer models (Synergi and others) to understand how T&D assets are expected to performance compared to actual performance. (15%)
3) Develop and implement T&D Asset/System Monitoring Plans to identify the initiation and track the progression of T&D Asset/System failures. (15%)
4) Maintain and track Tampa Electric’s T&D reliability metrics and benchmark against industry groups. Develop Asset Management programs for T&D related to management of change root cause analysis and other reliability management Analytics. (15%)
5) Facilitates the development and governance of standards for T&D system design, operation and maintenance which optimizes our investment and achieves our goals or safety, compliance, performance/reliability, cost effectiveness, and resilience and sustainability. (15%)
6) Develop and communication of a statement of health and risk for T&D assets and systems, establish methods for the diagnosis of T&D failures and the proactive mitigation of failures through operational, maintenance and capital investment. (10%)
7) Lead the development of industry benchmarking and engagement in industry groups, including EPRI, NATF, IEEE, SEE and others. (15%)
Direct Supervision: Direct supervisory responsibility for the Electrical Reliability team.
Indirect Supervision: Consultants, project teams
Key Internal: ES and ED team members including Vice Presidents, directors, managers, engineers, technicians
Key External: Regulators, Consultants, Contractors, Industry Associations, Vendors
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited or mutually recognized program
Licenses/Certifications
Preferred: Florida Professional Engineer’s License
Related Experience
Required: Minimum of 6 years of work experience in electrical system design, implementation, operation and maintenance and NERC compliance.
Preferred: 5 years of experience with electrical protective systems.
Required: Working knowledge of electrical system design, reliability centered maintenance practices, continuous improvement practices and power delivery systems used in electric utilities. This position requires a strong understanding of power generation and delivery engineering principals, materials. In addition, this position requires the ability to organize, lead and resolve technical and process problems. The ability to effectively lead and motivate individuals to meet organization goals and personal development needs is required. Good project management skills, time management skills and communication skills are required.
Preferred: Working knowledge of system impact and electrical protection system studies and related work coordinating generation, transmission, and substation systems.
Ability to work in a powerplant and energy delivery environments for extended periods of time. Must be able to work irregular hours, overtime, and possible holidays.
