Tecovas is seeking an HR Systems & Employee Relations Specialist to support the Retail and CX Field teams by managing key HR functions. This role will oversee onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, HR systems management, and the implementation of company policies and procedures. This role will report to the HR Manager, Retail & Field.
This role is required to be based in Austin, TX. Candidates must either be currently located in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX.

What you'll do:
- Manage and effect both offboarding and hiring/onboarding process for Field employees, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed, and systems are updated
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
- Work cross-functionally with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to maintain job boards and employer brand
- Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the People Field Team to improve employee experience
- Have a strong understanding of our benefits and leave policies, field employee questions, and provide assistance with any benefits-related inquiries or needs
- Assist with the annual Performance Review for all Field employees
- Handle employee relations concerns by conducting timely investigations; Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations
- Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, organizational chart, and contribute to the development of policies
- Performs verifications of employment for all Field employees
- Work with Retail Field business partners to ensure that the Tecovas workplace experience reflects our Core Values and we continue to be the "Employer of Choice" in the Industry
- Ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required
- Assist with various HR & Payroll projects and initiatives as assigned
- 4 years of relevant HR & Payroll experience supporting an organization of 1000 employees
- 2 years of experience managing the employee life cycle in Paycom
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maturity
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Advanced knowledge of Google Workspace, Talent Management Systems, and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed
- Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
