Tecovas is looking for a Retail District Manager to develop and maintain a culture of customer experience excellence, business development, people connection and partnership. Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, you will anticipate the needs of your district and proactively recruit top talent to support the growth of Tecovas Retail and build and maintain an effective succession plan for each member of the Retail team in the district. You will partner with the Director of Stores and HR team to hire, develop and retain top talent, as well as, address employee relations issues. As the Retail District manager, you will play a key role in training staff on how to fuel company growth to the fullest potential through continued development on the customer experience in each store, product knowledge and visual presentation.
This role will oversee Tecovas' Southeast Retail District.

What you'll do:
- Direct leadership of multiple geographically dispersed Store Managers. Communicate with Store Managers on a weekly basis, individual follow-up calls, written communication, and one-on-one communication through store visits.
- Oversee all business functions in stores including duties as necessary to maintain stores' daily operations and support new store openings.
- Prepare weekly/monthly business analysis, including quarterly business reviews and other reports as directed.
- Strategically execute Company objectives.
- Actively seek and share innovative ideas to improve the in store Customer Experience.
- Assess a District's needs and devise a plan to address those needs.
- Develop strategy and vision for retail stores in the district and organize resources to ensure the ultimate customer experience, productivity, profitability and growth.
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent by creating a positive, supportive, results-based work environment revolved around a Team - not teams mentality.
- Ensure that successful on-boarding and development occurs throughout the district with support from Regional Manager, Training Team, and HQ.
- Take advantage of available resources (individuals, processes, departments, and tools) to complete work efficiently; coordinates with internal and external partners.
- 3-5 years of multi-store experience
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills. Must be able to analyze data and make recommendations and decisions based upon data, trends and outcomes.
- Proficient use of electronic business tools: laptop computers, computer applications, in-store systems, and communications devices
- Ability to travel unaccompanied and unassisted if necessary, including overnight stays
- Strong understanding of current market trends and innovative approaches.
- Advanced verbal, written and nonverbal communication skills, including negotiating and forward thinking.
- You have a strong understanding of current market trends and innovative approaches within the Retail industry.
- You have a passion for western wear and feel inspired to bring the Tecovas story to life as we grow.
