Position Summary: The shipping associate is responsible for picking/packing orders that will be shipped out to our customers. When needed, weigh out product, wrap and strap skids, load/unload semi-trailers, perform quality checks, fill out packing lists, and identify defective parts. At all times safety policies must be followed. Hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Overtime hours may be available.
Duties:
- Picking/packing of orders
- Filling out packing lists
- Weighing out parts on a scale
- Performing quality checks
- Wrapping and strapping finished skids
- Know the different products that are made available to our customers.
- Operate the forklift safely
- Notify team lead when inventory levels are low.
- Measure and weigh finished skids for accurate freight costs.
- Label and package machinery
- Knowing where designated product stations are
- Willingness to learn multiple positions to fill in when necessary
- Help “At-Home” employees load/unload vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety policies.
- Use/read a tape measure
- Other duties on an as needed basis
Physical Demands:
- Be able to lift and move items weighing around 50 pounds over shoulders
- Requires verbal skills to communicate effectively with other associates.
- Work more than 40 hours/week when needed
Knowledge Requirements:
- Simple math skills
- Good organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
