Accountability
Reports to the Controller
Scope of Responsibility
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and analyzing the company's product costs, inventory analysis, and performing various accounting tasks. This function is integral to our operations, and you will be collaborating with various teams.
Specific Duties
- Establishes and maintains cost accounting standards and performs timely variance analysis.
- Utilizing information learned from variance analysis, recommend changes to processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Review bills of materials for accuracy and work with engineering and production departments to make needed updates.
- Create and review operational reports to better understand manufacturing costs.
- Review cycle counts to help inventory control determine root causes of variances.
- Prepare weekly flash report which is an update of key performance indicators.
- Prepare periodic inventory reserve reconciliations, including analyzing inventory for risk.
- Backup Controller.
- Other special projects as requested.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, capital equipment manufacturing preferred
- Proficiency in Excel
- Understanding of US GAAP
- Problem solving skills
- Interpersonal skills to work within the department and in conjunction with other departments
- Self-starter and able to work well independently while also being a team player
- Experience in ERP systems
- Work with auditors to provide requested analyses in a timely manner
- Ability to multi-task and embrace change
- Ability to maintain confidentiality

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
