What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rental Road Crew Assistant position at Ted Brown Music Company?
Ted Brown Music Tacoma has exciting seasonal employment opportunities. We are currently accepting applications for Rental Road Crew Assistants. This is a fun, fast-paced and hands-on position. Individuals with a general understanding of Band and Orchestra Instruments are encouraged to apply.
This is a seasonal employment opportunity and expected to last through June 1, 2025.
Essential Duties:
- Instrument testing; assist/test students 4th – 6th grade using instrument aptitude listening and hands on instrument play testing
- Rental meetings; assist Educational Service Representatives at Elementary-Middle School instrument rental meetings
- Greet customers
- Instrument rentals; assist customers with instrument rental contracts
- Retail sales: ensure customers are offered all necessary instrument accessories
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be available from March 1st through June 1st, 2025 (some leeway allowed)
- Must be 18 and able to drive
- Flexibility with the ability to work varied hours including mornings, afternoons and evenings as needed
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Band and Orchestra instruments
- Ability to work in a fast past environment and still maintain a positive attitude
- English / Spanish bilingual highly desired
- Must be able to pass a background check
PTO Benefits Part-Time
- Part-time employees will receive sick leave at the rate of 1 hour per every 40 hours worked
Physical Requirements:
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch or climb all day. The employee must also frequently lift and/or move items from 10 to 70 pounds. The working conditions are loud, due to consistent demonstration of musical instruments.
