Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Instrument Repair Technician to maintain, repair, and restore stock, rental, and customer instruments with integrity and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have expertise in one or more instrument families (woodwinds, brass, strings, percussion, etc.) and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repairs on woodwinds, brass, strings, or percussion instruments.
- Provide accurate repair estimates for customer instruments within one business day.
- Maintain stock instruments to ensure readiness for sale and rental.
- Stay up to date with new repair techniques, procedures, and product designs.
- Document all repairs accurately in the computer system, ensuring proper work orders are completed.
- Follow inventory procedures to maintain accurate instrument and parts tracking.
- Ensure all billing and shipping details are correct for each repair order.
- Utilize email and proprietary scheduling systems to track and prioritize work.
- Maintain clear communication with customers and team members regarding repair progress and completion.
- 3-5 years of experience in instrument repair.
- Expertise in at least one area: woodwinds, brass, strings, or percussion.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in computer databases (knowledge of AIMsi is a plus).
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Education and relevant experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications.

Salary : $25 - $30
