Ted Wiens Complete Auto Service has immediate openings in our Commercial Department for Tire Technicians, servicing commercial vehicles on and off site.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The primary purpose of the Commercial Tire Technician is to provide service on tires either in the shop or on the road throughout Las Vegas and the surrounding areas; a company vehicle is provided for off-site work. They complete road service calls, repair and/or replace tires, may perform repairs on commercial vehicles. They may be required to be on call for after hours calls. Commercial Tire Technicians should be comfortable driving large vehicles such as flat bed and box trucks; CDL is not required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Heavy lifting is required: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently, and up to 100 lbs occasionally; specialized equipment is provided.
- When on-call, must be available at all times for emergency calls; perform service and/or repairs for customers on the road. Must possess exceptional customer service skills and represent our company is a friendly and professional manner.
- Perform tire related services on-site and off-site; services include but not limited to mounts/demounts, balancing of tires and wheels, inspect for any further repairs needed while displaying exceptional customer service toward customers.
- The ideal candidate must be mechanically inclined and have basic knowledge of typical auto and tire repairs; we are willing to train.
- A valid driver’s license is required with zero infractions; a 3-year motor vehicle report is required at the time of application.
- Must follow and adhere to all OSHA and company safety standards, and attend all safety meetings as required by management.
- Must be able to communicate with all company staff and work effectively with management, co-workers, customers and outside vendors. Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
- Any and all other duties as assigned by management, which may include running errands, washing and gassing up vehicles, sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning up shop or parking lot, cleaning restrooms, etc.
WE ARE A DRUG FREE WORKPLACE, PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREEN IS REQUIRED (INCLUDING THC), as per DOT requirements.
Competitive pay based on experience.
