Job Summary
For over 35 years, the teachers at Teddy’s Place Child Care have dedicated themselves to providing a fun, safe, and educational experience for every child that steps foot into our center. Our staff speaks a combined 12 different languages which helps encompass the diversity of children we have at the center. We pride ourselves on inclusion and work on speech, physical, and occupational therapy every day for our preschool and 4k classrooms. We work closely with Birth to Three program therapists who provide services within the classroom to meet all needs of our children. Our center promotes PBIS, which is a social/emotional-based curriculum! We value teaching our children to be kind, safe, and respectful!
We are seeking an adaptable, loving and caring individual to work in our Infant-Toddler classroom. The teacher ensures the safety and health of each child and provides a nurturing and engaging environment. The Teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide Teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns.
Duties
● Cares for a group of infants up to 8 (6 weeks to 2 years old)
● Provides a safe and nurturing environment for children that encourages their social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.
● Plans and implements a developmentally appropriate curriculum for enrolled children of all backgrounds.
● Ensure the provision of quality, comprehensive child development services including education, health, nutrition, parent involvement, and necessary family support services and referrals.
● Follow Youngstar's, ECCERS, as well as the center’s criteria.
● Maintain positive relationships with parents, children, coworkers and community partners as well as provide supervision and performance feedback for reporting staff.
Experience
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Assistant Teacher Certificate (Required)
- WI Registry
