About the Role
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing laboratory tests on samples. Sets up experiments and tests and makes observations. Maintains the cleanliness of the laboratory by cleaning glassware, equipment, and countertops. Performs administrative tasks within the lab such as inventory counts of consumable supplies and retrieving archived data.

About the Role
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing laboratory tests on samples. Sets up experiments and tests and makes observations. Maintains the cleanliness of the laboratory by cleaning glassware, equipment, and countertops. Performs administrative tasks within the lab such as inventory counts of consumable supplies and retrieving archived data.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs requested laboratory tests to laboratory standards.
- Documents results and maintain accurate records.
- Upholds the requirements of the Laboratory Quality Management System and the customer’s Project Specific Requirements.
- Reports problems and concerns to the Laboratory Manager.
- Cleans lab glassware, equipment, countertops, and instrumentation.
- Performs instrument calibration verifications.
- Performs preventive maintenance.
- Logs in samples.
- Files and retrieves records.
- Performs inventory of consumable supplies.
- Additional project as assigned by supervisor.
- Associates degree in science or a related field of study.
- 2 or more years of experience in a laboratory setting preferably working directly with instruments and chemicals.
- Ability to handle hazardous chemicals safely and react to chemical emergencies (fires or spills).
- Proficient user of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Extreme attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to tactfully and cheerfully report the results regardless of consequence or prior expectations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
