We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Claims Data Entry Specialist to join our team in Ashland, OR. This role will focus on managing and processing workers' compensation claims with accuracy and efficiency. You will play a key part in supporting return-to-work cases by handling claim documentation, collaborating with insurance and medical professionals, and maintaining data integrity. Key Responsibilities
Accurately record, maintain, and update workers' compensation claim information in the company’s database.
Assist with claim processing by researching, documenting, and organizing case files.
Communicate professionally with healthcare providers and insurance representatives to gather necessary documentation and ensure claims move forward efficiently.
Utilize claims management software to monitor the progress of return-to-work cases.
Review and validate case files for completeness and ensure all required data is accurately documented.
Handle inbound and outbound communications via phone and email in a professional and courteous manner.
Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines while upholding high standards for accuracy and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with data privacy and confidentiality regulations.
Requirements
Education : Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, with at least two years of office experience.
Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management systems.
Typing Skills : Ability to type at least 40 words per minute with accuracy.
Attention to Detail : Demonstrated experience in data entry and handling sensitive information with precision.
Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette and polished business writing.
Organization : Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and meet deadlines under pressure.
Vaccination Requirement : Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and able to provide proof of vaccination.
Environment : Comfortable working in an office that occasionally has pets, including dogs and foster kittens.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with claims databases, generating reports, and conducting detailed searches.
Advanced Microsoft Word formatting skills and proficiency with Excel functions, such as formulas and data analysis.
