Position: Certified Medical Assistant
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85085
Duration: ASAP - 05/30/25
Pay: $23/hr
Schedule: 07:30 am to 4 pm (Mon - Fri)
Overview: Seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in patient care, clinical support, and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations within the healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities:Conduct patient interviews, record medical history, and measure vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height).
Prepare treatment rooms and patients for examinations and assist healthcare providers during procedures.
Clean, sterilize medical instruments, and maintain infection control standards.
Monitor, inventory, and order medical supplies and materials as needed.
Operate electrocardiograph (EKG) and other diagnostic equipment for routine tests.
Administer injections, treatments, and basic laboratory tests under provider supervision.
Schedule patient appointments, and follow-up calls, and coordinate care as necessary.
Perform administrative tasks, including completing OSHA-regulated forms and patient documentation.
Maintain electronic health records (EHR) by accurately entering and updating patient data.
Provide front desk assistance, answering inquiries and supporting office operations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Additional Information/Requirements
Primary/Occupational Care employee clinic
Previous experience in Urgent care, Emergency care, Occupational health, or similar settings is a plus
Phlebotomy Experience is required
Experience EPIC - EMR software preferred
Administering injections (medications and vaccines)
Comfortable with Well Woman exams
Must be nationally certified or able to provide a CMA Diploma with Transcripts
Must have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or be able to get one before starting
Must have a clean background
