Salary: $55,759 Annual (Salary varies based on residing state)
Overview: Seeking a Congressional Relations Representative to manage and respond to priority correspondence from Congressional offices, the White House, VA and DOD leadership, and other government entities. In this role, you will research, compile facts, and develop timely, high-quality written responses. You’ll collaborate with Congressional staffers, Veterans, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve complex issues related to VA and DOD contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
Priority Inquiry Management: Review and analyze incoming correspondence from Congressional offices, VA, DOD, and DHA to determine appropriate courses of action.
Research & Analysis: Access internal systems to track claims, eligibility, enrollment, authorizations, and customer service issues. Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to gather accurate information.
Written Correspondence: Draft clear, accurate, and timely responses to inquiries, ensuring they address all concerns effectively.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate with Congressional staff, Veterans, providers, and government officials to obtain information and provide resolutions.
Documentation & Tracking: Utilize proprietary systems to log all correspondence, track casework progress, and ensure timely resolution.
Record Management: Maintain detailed records and files on all Congressional Relations casework, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with timelines.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Communications, Social Work, or a related field.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Ability to obtain a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation.
Minimum 1-year of experience in Government and/or Congressional Relations at the Federal or state level.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as a Congressional office staffer managing constituent casework.
Familiarity with VA CCN program, DOD TRICARE, or healthcare/military environments.
