Director of Financial Operations

Position Details:

• Type: Direct Hire

• Title: Finance Director

• Salary Range: $145,000 - $175,000

• Bonus Potential: 25%

• Location: Must be based in Dallas (preferred), Houston or Austin also considered

• Travel: ~25% per quarter to attend board and partnership meetings

• Reports to: Senior Director of Financial Operations

• Direct Reports: 2-3 Financial Operations team members

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Leadership: Act as the CFO for up to 11 centers—responsible for full financial oversight, local financial health, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.

• Strategic Partnering: Collaborate with operators, market accounting, and corporate finance teams to align on performance, budgets, and forecasts.

• Physician Relations: Build trust and credibility with physicians, confidently managing financial conversations and supporting their needs.

• Project Ownership: Lead key initiatives including RFPs and capital expansion projects.

• Data & Reporting: Own and present financial data using tools like PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau, Access, and Essbase.

• Mentorship: Manage, support, and coach a team of smart, engaged direct reports—encouraging curiosity and growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Background: 7 years of progressive experience in healthcare finance or accounting (multi-site, physician group, or PE-backed orgs a plus).

• Tech Skills: Advanced Excel, Tableau, Access, PowerPoint; pro forma modeling; Essbase familiarity preferred.

• Leadership: Strategic, hands-on leader with a mentoring spirit—someone who thrives in an environment where continuous improvement and accountability are core values.

• Soft Skills: Thick-skinned, collaborative, team-first mindset; entrepreneurial and proactive; able to challenge the status quo.

• Education: Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting required.
