Healthcare Referral Coordinator Specialist
Full time permanent position
In person, onsite in Juneau, Alaska
$10,000 Relocation if needed
Days, Full Time, Mon-Fri
$55K - $65K depending on experience

Job duties:
Coordinates patient referrals and prior authorizations.
Communicates regularly with patients and caregivers regarding referred services.
Prioritizes patient referrals and coordination of care to maintain patient safety and service quality.
Supports care coordination to ensure a consistent, effective, supportive system of care.
Tracks and maintains case management coordination data.
Schedules patient appointments, answers clinic calls, communicates to patients
Generates patient letters and completes relevant forms as needed.
Collaborates with the Specialty Care team members to establish plan of care
Verifies patient’s insurance profiles are current as needed.
Completes pre-registration of patients as needed.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in social work, healthcare administration or business administration. OR 4 years of relevant professional level experience
2 years experience in a healthcare setting
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Strong problem-solving skills to address patient inquiries and issues.
