JOB SUMMARY:
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Monday through Friday 8am -5pm no weekends no on call $120,000- $135,000 DOE
Provides advanced nursing care and physician support during the treatment of pediatric patients.
Job Duties: Provides care to infant, child, or adolescent patients in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions.
Obtains patient history, screens patients to ensure appropriate physical/mental development, administers immunizations, orders tests or scans, diagnoses illnesses, prescribes medicines and outlines and monitors courses of treatment. Partners with physicians in the development of care plans, and advises physician in changes of patient status.
Assists patients in the management of chronic illnesses and promotes health and wellness. Performs school or extra-curricular physical examinations. Adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
Monitors and ensures accuracy of patient medical records. Experience and Education: Performs work with a high degree of latitude. Handles the most complex issues. Possesses expert knowledge of subject matter. Requires an advanced degree in nursing (MSN or DNP), RN and NP licensure, and 2 to 4 years of related experience. Reports to: Typically reports to a department head. Competencies: Ability to work as part of a team. Oral and written communication skills. Problem-solving skills. Attentiveness. Interpersonal skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Completion of Accredited Nurse Practitioner program Licensing and Certification Requirements:
Licensed in AZ 2 years of pediatric experience a plus
