Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM (30-minute lunch)
Pay Rate : $105 - 115 / hr
Job Overview :
Seeking a Pharmacist for a Long-term contract at a healthcare facility in Tohatchi, NM. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, verifying, and dispensing medications, ensuring safe and effective patient care, and providing medication counseling.
Key Responsibilities :
Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and effectiveness before dispensing.
Ensure prescribed medications align with the patient’s diagnosis and health conditions.
Check for potential drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
Dispense medications following all federal, state, and facility regulations.
Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and proper storage.
Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies, including controlled substance regulations.
Participate in safety training, quality assurance activities, and supply management.
Essential Requirements :
Must be a Licensed Pharmacist in New Mexico.
At least 6 months of experience in an Indian Health Service (IHS) pharmacy is highly preferred
Strong understanding of medication management, safety protocols, and patient education.
Must have a clean bacground.
Reliable transportation, professional conduct, and adherence to facility policies.
Salary : $105 - $115
