Division Controller

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Controller to oversee our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional with manufacturing experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily financial activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and financial reporting.
• Review and analyze inventory costing, including manufacturing cost variances.
• Oversee and monitor inventory cycle count processes.
• Prepare and report monthly P&L and balance sheets in compliance with US GAAP, ensuring timely submission (by workday 5) and conducting variance analyses against budgets, forecasts, and prior-year data.
• Lead month-end balance sheet reviews and account reconciliations.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and procedures to maintain financial accuracy and reliability.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of sales tax returns and other regulatory filings.
• Supervise and mentor a staff accountant, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes in collaboration with FP&A.
• Work closely with external auditors during the annual audit process.
• Take the lead on special financial projects as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (B.S. required); CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with prior experience as a Controller in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience managing and developing a team, including remote employees.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
