Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as a key engineering representative for company, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders, and participating in technical activities, committees, and events.
Oversee and develop engineering departments to ensure professional conduct and successful performance.
Manage employee recruitment, work assignments, training, performance evaluations, and similar activities.
Assume engineering responsibility for industrial steam products.
Conduct essential engineering functions, technical analysis, and reporting related to products and processes.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards such as ASME, UL, and OSHA.
Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, documents, and standards.
Author or review detailed engineering communications including technical service bulletins and countermeasures.
Lead a well-organized new product development (NPD) program that achieves timely results.
Implement and follow proper design management processes such as the ECR/ECO process.
Provide engineering support for production and ensure thorough and prompt shop testing.
Requirements
Mechanical Engineering background preferred
10 years of management and engineering experience
Some management experience required (open to a strong supervisor ready to step up)
Experience in heavy industry—thermal or heat
Must have CAD design experience; SolidWorks helpful but not doing day to day.
Should come from industrial machinery sector
Boilder experience preferred
Someone in management is great or even lead. They need to be current managing. Not a peer of an engineering team.
Certifications:
PE (Professional Engineer) license in Mechanical or Electrical is preferred but not required
