Position: Certified Medical Assistant
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85085
Duration: ASAP - 05/30/25
Schedule: 07:30 am to 4 pm (Mon - Fri)
Overview: Seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in patient care, clinical support, and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations within the healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct patient interviews, record medical history, and measure vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height).
- Prepare treatment rooms and patients for examinations and assist healthcare providers during procedures.
- Clean, sterilize medical instruments, and maintain infection control standards.
- Monitor, inventory, and order medical supplies and materials as needed.
- Operate electrocardiograph (EKG) and other diagnostic equipment for routine tests.
- Administer injections, treatments, and basic laboratory tests under provider supervision.
- Schedule patient appointments, and follow-up calls, and coordinate care as necessary.
- Perform administrative tasks, including completing OSHA-regulated forms and patient documentation.
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) by accurately entering and updating patient data.
- Provide front desk assistance, answering inquiries and supporting office operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Additional Information/Requirements- Primary/Occupational Care employee clinic
- Previous experience in Urgent care, Emergency care, Occupational health, or similar settings is a plus
- Phlebotomy Experience is required
- Experience EPIC - EMR software preferred
- Administering injections (medications and vaccines)
- Comfortable with Well Woman exams
- Must be nationally certified or able to provide a CMA Diploma with Transcripts
- Must have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or be able to get one before starting
- Must have a clean background
