Key Responsibilities
- Provide care to laboring women, including monitoring fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs.
- Assist with labor management, including administering medications, epidurals, and other pain management options.
- Support and guide women through the stages of labor, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Assist with delivery, including both vaginal and cesarean sections.
- Monitor the health of both mother and baby during labor and immediately postpartum.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families throughout the process.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for both mother and baby.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of labor and delivery protocols, fetal monitoring, and pain management techniques.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and emergencies in a calm and effective manner.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
