Counselor - Gateway Boys Academy
Job Description/Summary:
Gateway Boys Academy, a Christian boarding school for at-risk teen boys ages 12-17, seeks a Master's Level Counselor who is a mature Christian with a passion for working with struggling teens and their families.
The Counselor will assist students in gaining insight into their problems, defining goals, and planning action. Weekly staff meetings, individual counseling, group counseling, and case management services are required.
This Opportunity:

Counselor Requirements:
- Master's degree (preferred) in Counseling or relevant field like psychology, social work, pastoral counseling, etc.
- Understanding of Biblical principles' practical application.
- Previous experience working with youth and families preferred.
- Background check and pastoral/ministerial leader reference required.
Necessary Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and high standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong time management, critical thinking, and documentation skills.
- Ability to create a comfortable, safe environment for students and parents.
- Understanding of issues facing teens and applicable intervention strategies.
