Job Overview:
As a Commercial Lines Customer Service Agent, you will play a vital role in supporting our commercial insurance clients by providing outstanding customer service, managing policy changes, and assisting with renewals and claims. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and knowledge of commercial insurance products will help ensure our clients receive the best possible coverage and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to client inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist clients with policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and billing inquiries.
- Prepare quotes and provide recommendations for coverage options based on client needs.
- Work with underwriters and insurers to process new business, endorsements, and renewals.
- Maintain accurate client records in our agency management system.
- Handle certificate of insurance requests, evidences of coverage, and other related documentation.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure seamless transitions for new business and account renewals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, coverage options, and regulatory changes to best serve our clients.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- 2 years of experience in commercial lines customer service or a related insurance role.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products (e.g., general liability, property, workers' compensation, etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Active state insurance license (or the ability to obtain one).
