Student Worker I - Student Services Data Cleanup
$14.00/hour
2 Positions to be Filled
College Station, Texas
This position assists with data cleanup within the TEEX Student Management System. Must demonstrate attention to detail. The duties require the use of independent judgment to ensure the accuracy of the data entered.
The student worker will report to the Program Manager for Student Services.
Required Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in an accredited University, Community College, or High School or GED program.
- If High School or GED program enrollee, completion of Texas A&M University’s Minor’s Employment Release form will be required.
Required Licenses and Certifications:
- Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous data entry experience.
Physical Requirements:
- None.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of principles and processes for collecting and organizing information, entry of student data into database systems and analysis of data elements.
- Ability to work effectively with other people.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to enter data, accurately and in a timely manner, into existing Student Management System.
- Possess an understanding of basic office procedures.
Equipment:
- Standard office equipment: computer, keyboard, multifunctional printer, and telephone.

- All tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and Agency safety requirements.
- This position may require work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends.
- Ability to travel independently to other and/or remote locations by driving a personal or TEEX vehicle.
Essential Duties, Tasks, and Percentages:
Data Entry Support – 100%
- Enter corrections and verify accuracy of student data.
- Responsible for complying with data integrity and security policies.
- Ability to organize one’s work to meet various deadlines.
- Ability to research missing or incomplete data.
Other Duties:
- Assist with special projects as needed or assigned.
