TEGNA seeks a Six Sigma Black Belt Analyst who is a highly skilled and experienced professional responsible for leading and executing complex Six Sigma projects to improve business processes, reduce defects, and enhance overall organizational performance. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills, as well as a deep understanding of Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, DFSS) and statistical tools. The ideal candidate will apply their skills to collaborate with us and build on our current processes to help drive transformative results.
Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership:
o Develop and execute project charters, timelines, and budgets.
o Develop cost benefit analysis
o Manage project scope, risks, and resources effectively.
o Lead cross-functional teams and facilitate collaborative problem-solving.
o Communicate project progress, challenges, and results to stakeholders at all levels.
- Data Analysis and Improvement:
o Identify root causes of process variation and defects
o Develop and present Fishbone analysis results to leadership
o Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve process efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
o Monitor and track project performance metrics and ensure sustained improvements.
- Training and Mentoring:
o Train managers to identify opportunities to utilize a Six Sigma approach for process optimization.
o Share knowledge and best practices within the organization.
o Contribute to the development and maintenance of Six Sigma training programs.
- Continuous Improvement:
o Continuously seek opportunities to improve business processes and enhance organizational performance.
o Actively participate in Lean initiatives and other continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification from a recognized training provider (e.g., ASQ, IASSC).
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in a Six Sigma or related role.
- Proven track record of successful Six Sigma project leadership and execution.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Excel).
- Knowledge of Lean principles and methodologies is a plus.
- Experience in Media, preferably Television and News Production
