As a Producer, you'll be at the heart of creating engaging and unique daily segments that resonate with our viewers. We're seeking a dynamic, creative thinker who thrives under tight deadlines and brings solid visual and editorial skills to the table.
Responsibilities

Our 401(k) program offers full, part-time and temporary employees the opportunity to contribute 1% - 80% of their pay on a pre-tax basis to TEGNA’s 401(k). Contributions made up to the first 4% of pay are eligible for a 100% match from the company and are 100% vested from day one.
Regardless of participation in TEGNA medical plans, ALL employees and their eligible family members receive nine free virtual doctor’s appointments with a physician through Teladoc, and 12 free annual therapy sessions with a licensed clinician through Spring Health.

Responsibilities
- Develop, book, and produce unique and engaging daily segments for a lifestyle show.
- Produce informative and creative segments that achieve positive results for clients.
- Write, proof, and review scripts, graphics, and other show elements.
- Edit Great Day Houston content for khou.com and KHOU 11
- Work with the Executive Producer and Sales Department on client segments.
- Develop and foster strong, collaborative relationships with clients.
- Work as required on other locally produced programming.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience producing news or magazine format shows in mid to large markets.
- Must be well-organized and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be solution-oriented and focused on client results and retention.
- Must be a critical thinker and possess a positive attitude.
- Rundown software experience (preferably ENPS).
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
- Strong social media knowledge and a digital footprint.
- Ability to edit and shoot.
- Line-producing experience is a plus.
- An early riser with a spirit of punctuality.
