Job Summary:
Tegre Corporation seeks a skilled Power Generation Facility Specialist to operate, maintain, and repair complex equipment at our natural gas power generation facility. Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, this individual will ensure the safe and efficient operation of CAT engines, generators, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), and associated electrical and mechanical equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean, maintain, and repair equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Respond to alarms and shutdowns after hours and weekends as required, demonstrating a commitment to providing excellent service.
- Inform supervisors or other authorities of maintenance and operating problems, fostering a culture of open communication.
- Assist in determining needed repairs, inventory, and replacement parts necessary for maintenance and repairs, exercising analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Research vendors to locate necessary items, determine compatibility, and obtain competitive prices as directed by the Supervisor, showcasing negotiation and purchasing expertise.
- Inspect mechanical equipment installed by contractors to ensure safe and satisfactory functioning, promoting quality control.
- Assist with preparing, interpreting, and maintaining required reports, manuals, and records as directed by the Supervisor, utilizing technical writing and data management skills.
- Perform preventive, predictive, normal, and emergency maintenance and inspections on all facilities equipment, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Affirmatively promote a safe work environment, employing proper techniques and equipment to minimize risk.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace, adhering to high standards of housekeeping and maintenance.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement, streamlining processes, and enhancing customer satisfaction through seamless cooperation with colleagues.
- Coordinate assigned services and activities with trade and maintenance contractors, safety personnel, and operations staff, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities effectively.
Objectives of the Position:
The ideal candidate will efficiently operate and maintain Caterpillar G3520 natural gas powered engines and power generators (3), heat recovery steam generators (HRSG's), switchgear, and associated equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 3-5 years' experience with heavy machinery, diesel engines, controls, industrial maintenance, and/or oil and gas operations is essential, accompanied by a strong foundation in mechanical systems, piping, and machinery maintenance.
Other Desired Skills and Characteristics:
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are crucial for success in this role.
- Possess analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment issues and make informed decisions.
- Familiarity with computer systems, including maintenance management software, is desirable.
- Basic electrical knowledge up to 8320 volts, along with proficiency in laser alignment techniques, pipe fittings, valves, and OSHA regulations regarding machinery safety systems, is advantageous.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings, review engineering specifications, and understand plans for new equipment and facilities is required.
- General understanding of rotating machinery, low-voltage control systems, SCADA interface hardware, power tools, and hand tools is beneficial.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, along with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities, are essential.
Equipment Used:
This position requires the use of various hand and power tools, mechanic hand tools, computers, printers, copiers, telephones, and other instruments and tools associated with this particular job discipline.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 150 pounds.
- Walk, stand, balance, climb, crawl, grasp, squat, bend, kneel, reach above and below shoulder heights, twist, feel, pull, and endure repetitive motions.

Environmental Requirements:
