Tehachapi Pet Lodge at the Tehachapi Veterinary Hospital is hiring immediately for a Kennel Attendant to join our team!
Salary: $18 / hour

- Must treat animals with care and respect.
- Must have good time management skills.

- Thrives in a fast paced work environment.
- Confident in working with dogs, cats and some exotics.
- Experience in animal husbandry is preferred.
- Ability to lift 40lbs, walk, stand, bend, kneel and stoop as needed.
- Weekends and holiday availability is required.
Job Summary:
- Walking, feeding, and taking care of boarding pets while they are in our care.
- Stock supplies as needed daily.
- Keep kennels clean, orderly, and free of odors.
- Interacting with dogs, cats and some exotic pets.
- Assist in with retail needs/ customer care as needed.
- Grounds keeping around the facility.
Personal Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Genuinely enjoys working with animals and their owners.
- Is able to work around animals.
- Can stay calm during medical crisis.
- Professional, cheerful, and helpful attitude.
- Team player.
