The Project / Financial Analyst at TEi Construction Services oversees processes, procedures, tools, and reports for assigned regions. The Analyst ensures consistent adherence to business processes, conducts critical analysis of project processes, and supports project teams in adhering to established procedures.
Financial Management
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of project analysis and reporting, including cost analysis, hours analysis, Estimate to Complete / Estimate at Completion, percent complete review, purchase commitment, and risk identification.
- Understanding of the key financial statements and the supporting general ledger.
- Prepare certain general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare project-related billing.
- Coordinate and ensure proper project-specific bonding.
Critical Thinking
- Ability to perform critical analysis of project processes and evaluate against best practices.
- Analytical skills sufficient to explain and support the facts and status of a particular project to the field team and TEiC Management Team.
- Must be able to analyze large amounts of field data (percent completion, performance to schedule) and financial data (accounts payable, receivable).
Project Execution
- Ensure consistent adherence to business processes and procedures.
- Administering contract database.
- Supporting project teams in day-to-day troubleshooting, including time collection issues with TPTS and project analysis and reporting.
Collaboration
- Team-oriented, able to work and contribute to a multi-skilled, multi-experienced group.
- Organizational Leadership
- Flexible to travel (travel can be on very short notice). Company locations are typically domestic, and projects can be anywhere in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimal to 3 years of work experience in finance analytics
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred Skills:
- Work experience in the construction industry
- Proficient in Lotus Notes, Costpoint, Webfocus, and Kronos
- Certified Public Accountant of similar certification
