Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Hostess/Host to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and efficient seating arrangements. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly upon arrival and provide them with a warm welcome.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while ensuring guest comfort.
• Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
• Utilize Toast system for managing waitlists and reservations efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow.
• Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations as needed.
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing any concerns or requests promptly and courteously.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast, is a plus.
• Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
• A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and willingness to help others are key attributes for success in this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 30 per week
