Roles and Responsibilities:
- Modify existing software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, or enhance interfaces and performance.
- Design and develop software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and assess the outcomes and impacts of the design.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate the interaction between hardware and software, create specifications and performance standards, and address customer issues.
- Provide advice to customers on, or directly handle, the maintenance of the software system.
- Develop and oversee testing and validation processes for software systems.
