Responsibilities: The Security and System Administration lead has a well-rounded profile with the right combination of significant and progressive professional expertise in System Administration, maintenance and related tools & technologies to support client IT Enterprise Applications.
- Develop and enforce security policies, protocols, and standards for Oracle Fusion Cloud and related third-party software applications including Hexagon Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Workforce Software, and GrantsNow.
- Implement and maintain Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for users and administrators.
- Manage security settings across Oracle SaaS and third-party applications.
- Monitor system vulnerabilities, perform regular security assessments, and apply patches and updates as needed.
- Implement and manage encryption for data in transit and at rest, ensuring compliance with policies and industry regulations.
- Oversee the configuration, deployment, and management of Oracle Cloud infrastructure, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) instances, virtual machines, storage solutions, and network resources.
- Maintain backups, disaster recovery protocols, and continuity plans for Oracle Cloud systems.
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, storage utilization, and system health, using Oracle's monitoring tools.
- Manage access permissions, troubleshoot system issues, and provide technical support for Oracle and third-party Cloud-based systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Assist in audits and provide documentation for regulatory and internal compliance.
- Maintain records of security and system incidents and remediate any issues identified.
- Detect, report, and respond to security incidents using automated alerts and manual monitoring.
- Conduct root cause analysis of system issues and security breaches, proposing solutions and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage incident response plans and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve security incidents efficiently.
- Work closely with IT, development, and security teams to implement secure cloud solutions and troubleshoot issues.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on Oracle Cloud security practices.
- Liaise with vendors and partners to ensure optimal security practices and stay updated on Oracle Cloud updates and best practices.
Key Qualifications:
- Expertise in SaaS and PaaS implementations including Oracle cloud ERP, HCM, SCM and EPM applications.
- Conversant with security best practices related to third-party SaaS solutions such as Hexagon EAM, Workforce Software, and GrantsNow.
- Strong understanding and working experience of Fusion Security Console, Cloud security, Multi Factor Authentication (MFA), and SSO.
- Strong understanding of security principles, including encryption, firewalls, and access controls.
- Strong understanding on implementing OAuth token-based authentication for Integrations.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
- Expertise in cloud resource management and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical skills to resolve system and security issues.
- Strong understanding in access control, identity management, and compliance standards
- Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and APIs for Integrating SaaS applications with Legacy/Third-Party systems.
- Strong understanding of cloud resource management and troubleshooting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with industry leading cyber security frameworks and controls including NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) Cyber Security Framework and COBIT controls and standards.
- Strong understanding on Security for Integrations and Extensions
- Strong understanding on API Security
- Strong understanding about Security on OCI like Administrative Security,Network Security and Application Security
- Work with IAM, Security engineering and Network operations teams to understand and design target state OCI PaaS and IaaS services
- Document security requirements for OCI PaaS and IaaS services
- Strong Understanding of IAM including SSO, IDMS and IGA practices for enterprise
Type of Education Required:
- Graduation from an accredited College or University with a bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems related field or equivalent experience.
- Preferred certifications:
? Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect
? Certified Cloud Security Professional
? Certified Oracle Security Implementation Specialist
? Certified Application Integration Professional
Type of Experience and Number of Years:
- Minimum of 5 years of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure management experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and related tools.
- Proficiency in cloud security principles and tools, including IAM, encryption, firewall management, and vulnerability assessment.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud-based security tools.
- 10 years in the following areas:
? Provisioning of Oracle Cloud Instances (SaaS & PaaS)
? Oracle Cloud Implementation
? Instance management and upgrades
- Experience in Public Sector including Education (K-12) project or program work, preferred
