Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled SAP Manufacturing Support Specialist to provide on-site support for a manufacturing facility located in the Santa Clara, CA area. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in SAP Production Planning (PP) or Quality Management (QM), with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues. Experience with SAP PEO and SAP Warehouse Management (WM) or Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) is highly preferred.
This is a full-time, onsite role requiring 5 days a week of support. The successful candidate will work closely with end users, providing guidance, troubleshooting, and identifying opportunities for process improvements within SAP manufacturing solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and Support: Collaborate with end users to troubleshoot and resolve production issues in real time on the shop floor, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
- Issue Triage and Resolution: Diagnose production issues, perform triage, and work with the support team to resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring that production flows smoothly and efficiently.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in current SAP manufacturing processes, recommending changes to streamline workflows, increase efficiency, and enhance the user experience.
- Functional Design and UAT Support: Assist in the functional design of enhancements and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure SAP solutions align with the manufacturing needs of the business.
- Super User Support and Training: Act as a super user, guiding new end users in SAP processes, providing over-the-shoulder training, answering questions, and offering feedback to leadership to improve the onboarding process for new users.
- Production Issue Resolution: When authorized, use firefighter access to resolve critical production issues, ensuring that manufacturing operations continue without unnecessary downtime.
- Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with other teams, including IT, operations, and business leaders, to ensure that SAP solutions align with business objectives and deliver continuous improvement in production efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications:
Must-Have Skills:
- SAP Production Planning (PP) or Quality Management (QM)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP manufacturing or related fields
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- SAP PEO (Product Engineering and Operations)
- SAP Warehouse Management (WM) or Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
- Experience in the Automotive or Aerospace & Defense industries
Education:
- Bachelor s Degree in a related field (required)
